Springtime is the perfect time to get outside and explore the world around us. Unfortunately, the rain sometimes gets in the way of outdoor adventures. At Growing Kids Learning Center<\/a>, we understand that rainy days can really put a damper on your little one\u2019s day, but there is still plenty of fun to be had inside! We have more than 28 years of experience getting preschoolers<\/a> excited about indoor activities when the Northern Illinois weather is less than cooperative and to help parents and educators out, we\u2019ve compiled a list of our favorite rainy-day activities that are perfect for preschoolers. Read on to learn more ways to keep those kiddos\u2019 minds active and engaged during a rainy day.<\/p>\n

Story Time<\/h3>\n

Gather around a cozy blanket and read a few of your child\u2019s favorite stories. They\u2019ll love hearing the same stories again and again, and it\u2019s a great opportunity for them to learn about different characters, settings, and how stories are structured.<\/p>\n

Arts and Crafts<\/h3>\n

Get creative with a variety of craft activities! Use construction paper, glue, markers, and other supplies to create fun and unique art pieces. If you\u2019re feeling adventurous, try making your own playdough or creating a paper mache project.<\/p>\n

Puppets<\/h3>\n
